I’m a recent graduate and matched in general surgery. I am married with 4 kids, my wife is a stay-at-home mom. I attended Nova Southeastern University, a DO school that has been around since the 1970s, and as such it has a very traditional curriculum similar to any MD school. I was also exposed to the OMM coursework and understand the challenges of juggling those extra responsibilities while studying for both COMLEX and the USMLE. Having just earned my DO this spring, the rigor of medical school is still fresh for me. I survived and matched into my #1 field. I am excited to talk about my experience with upcoming student physicians!
