I am a non-traditional MS3 medical student. Prior to medical school, I received my Masters in Neuroscience and worked as a Biology Department Laboratory Supervisor and adjunct professor. I also worked five years in retail at JCrew and as a cancer researcher. I have always found importance in the discussion and advocacy of mental health, especially in medicine and medical education. I have a passion for mentorship, representation and storytelling throughout every aspect of the medical process and journey. I gather inspiration from authors such as Brene Brown, Chad Sanders and Edith Egar. And enjoy anything to do with music: dancing salsa, bachata, and singing.
